Grace Notes: events, opportunities, announcements for 11-11-18
The Community Relations Team (formerly Outreach) is looking for a volunteer to handle creating ads for Grace. This would include print ads for newspaper and magazines, banners, radio spots, etc. This person would become part of the Community Relations Team, which will meet every other month. Interested? Contact Tal at email@example.com.
The Community Relations Team is embarking on a new outreach campaign using the theme Come And See.
Grace UMC has received a lot of attention of late as a result of our service to the Greater Wilmington community in the wake of Hurricane Florence. This is a great opportunity for us to invite the community to come (to Grace) and see why we serve in the ways we do
This campaign will include:
- A banner at 4th & Grace Streets
- Cards, reading Come And See, that we can
give out to unchurched friends
- Ads in area print media
- Videos with the Come And See theme on social
- Reworking of our website.
This Come And See effort is all about inviting someone to the cross of Jesus Christ.
Welcome Center Christmas Tree
Several years ago, Grace received a generous gift of a magnificent Christmas tree; which proudly stands in our
Welcome Center each year to greet our congregation and guests. Miraculously, it survived the wrath of Hurricane Florence, but all of the ornaments were destroyed. Please consider donating an ornament in honor of your family or loved one to be used on this tree each year. Ornaments of red, gold, green and clear glass will complement the theme! The tree will be ready for the ornaments on Sunday, December 2. Thank you!
